I am Bilal Karim Mughal, a self-proclaimed journalist who has had the chance to do a meagre amount of reporting, lots of editing and desk work including translations, and some social media marketing.
Having been associated with Pakistan’s largest English daily Dawn in Karachi for 4.5 years, and then with BBC’s Urdu service in Islamabad for nearly 4 years, I am currently on a break from journalism and working with Turkish Radio and Television (TRT)’s newly-launched streaming platform tabii in their social media and audience strategy team in Istanbul.

My substack does not have a fixed topic because there’s no fixed topic in my mind at any moment. In a world hyper-fixated on ‘focus’, I am someone whose mind is always wandering somewhere different.
